Here's a tribute to Android, and little green men everywhere! At first I was going to render this little guy doing some tricks on a half pipe, but then I decided to keep it more like one of the wallpapers from Android's website.

This one is all final gather lit with an hdr that simulates the use of giant area lights. All of the shaders are MR Arch&Design.

Constructive critisism please!

Different colors available by request.

The Android design/logo/whatever is owned by Google. I simply added that 3rd dimension. =)

Hoping to get a myTouch when I start using cell phones again. I'm pretty hardcore with Linux, so having a phone with Linux is pretty much necessary. And the N900 is just too expensive (although I do have an N810, it's fabulous).

well, i hope you know that android really is just a dalvik vitual java machine running over top a linux-like system. its not technically linux. BUT, you can load up a debian distro from android's terminatl emulator, incase you need a real linux distro on your phone for some reason. thank you for the +fav.

Yeah, I'm aware of that. It's mostly the open-source element that appeals to me. If FreeBSD had more driver support I might actually be using that instead.

Hehe, you can also emulate the Android environment from Debian. I do like quite a few of the Android applications. Do you use it on the G1 or whatnot? I tested a really old beta on my N810 previously, was pretty polished.

Yeah I've got a g1, but I use a modified rom.

Ah. I wonder when we'll have an Ubuntu Mobile phone. Then again, if the Android platform gets good enough, people might just leave regular Linux programs on the PC in the long run. It's surely going to become an interesting market out there for devices.
